Ellie AKA Jesse

My Boxer, Diesel, passed 5 months ago. She was my best friend for 12 wonderful years. After, I was certain I’d not have another dog for quite some time. I received an email with a link to Petfinder.com from my mom and clicked it.

Enter ELLIE!

Ellie (aka Jesse) came from a 100% euthanization/zero adoption “shelter” in South Carolina.   Lucky Dog found her and brought her up to DC. When I saw her online, I thought I’d be okay at least meeting her. After meeting her, I turned into a happy girl who’s totally in love! She is 1 and a half years old and amazing, loving, playful, house-broken angel!

I had not adopted a rescue before and I was a bit nervous. Clearly, it was needless worry.

For anyone who is a bit nervous about adopting, especially adopting an adult, try meeting a few (or one) because when you turn to mush, you’ll know you’ve just met your newest family member!
