Frances The Boston

I have been wanting a dog forever, but until recently, I just wasn’t at a point in my life where I was able to have one.  Finally, this year, I felt like I was ready.  I knew I wanted to get a dog from a shelter or rescue because I really don’t understand why anyone would purchase a dog when there are so many great ones out there in need of homes.  So, I went on Google and found Lucky Dog Animal Rescue.  Lucky Dog had so many great dogs on their website, that I was initially interested in quite a few.  About a week into my search, Frances appeared on the site.  My sister has a Boston Terrier that I am in love with, so as soon as I saw Frances, I emailed her Lucky Dog contact.  She immediately emailed me back and coordinated with another Lucky Dog volunteer to set up my home visit.  Within about 2 weeks I had completed the screening process, Frances was brought up from South Carolina, and I was able to take her home.

When I first met Frances, right after she came off the van, she was a maniac.  Of all of the dogs, she was barking the most.  Being a first time dog owner, I was a little bit nervous about that, but I knew that the dogs’ behavior at pick-up was not necessarily indicative of their normal behavior.  Once I got Frances home, I had no more reservations.  She loves nothing more than to lay with me and be pet.  She is the perfect doggie companion that I was looking for.  I really could not be any happier with my adoption of her.

I would absolutely recommend Lucky Dog to anyone looking for a dog!
