GIZMO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:  Gizmo        Best Guess for Breed:  Basset hound and terrier mix

Best Guess for Age:  2 years        SEX:  Male

Approximate Weight:   35 lbs

Gets Along With:   Other dogs! Gizmo has experience living with cats in his foster home. We are happy to discuss tips for introducing him to the kitties in your home! Due to his shy personality, he may not go to a home with children under the age of 12.

Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.

Special adoption considerations: Because Gizmo is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog. Due to his shy personality, we do not recommend him for a home with children under the age of 12.

Gizmo is Looking For:  His forever home! Gizmo is so sweet and - just look at those short and stubby legs - he is incredibly cute! He would love to trot through the world with confidence, enjoying all the adventures his new humans can dream up! To get there, he needs extra patient and loving adopters who understand he has not gotten enough experience in new places yet, and a welcoming resident dog who can show him how to dog. Obedience school will help build his braves as well.

Gizmo most of all wants to know he is safe and loved and under his own roof for all his days. He has so much love and loyal companionship to offer in exchange. Best of all - he CAN be bathed and CAN be fed after midnight. What do you say? Does this sweet shy boy get his fresh start with you?

What My Foster Says About Me: Gizmo has so much love to give and he deserves someone to love him back. He’s a great running partner, he’s doing great running on leash. We had 2 runs today and interacted with some pups along the way and he was very gentle to them. He gets attached very easily, he follows me everywhere around the house. I am sure that there’s nothing he can’t overcome with love and patience. Also biiig nap lover, if it wasn’t for his silly running, I would say he’s a lap dog.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
