Lucky Dog Evacuates Over 50 Dogs and Cats From The Path of Hurricane Florence Thanks to Generosity of Rescue Community!

This Wednesday, September 12, 2018, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue evacuated more than 50 Lucky Dogs and Cats from the path of Hurricane Florence. After the van's alternator failed, the rescue community took time out of their own hurricane preparations to save our Lucky Dogs and Cats.

“These evacuations are saving the lives of animals that have nowhere else to go,” Lucky Dog founder and Executive Director Mirah Horowitz said in a statement. “Animals in shelters that could flood—and no one would be there to know it. Animals who, because of the amazing efforts of our volunteers, will be safe and dry tonight.”
