NUTT NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Come meet Nutt and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (April 21st) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Falls Church (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!

Name:  Nutt           Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd and terrier mix

Best Guess for Age:  4 months as of April 2024          SEX: male

Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):  24.5 pounds as of 04/14

Gets Along With:  Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. In fact, Nutt is currently living in foster care with a dog and a cat!

Currently Living at: D.C. area foster home

Special Adoption Considerations:  Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.

Nutt is Looking For: Hiya! I'm Nutt! Me and my littermates, Nashi, Neon, Newt, Nutella, Nugget and Natilla, have loved our time in the puppy pile, but we are each ready to pack our bags and find our very own forever home! I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. When I'm a little older, I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for me?

What My Foster Says About Me: Nutt is an awesome puppy! He is playful and particularly loves carrying little stuffed toys around the house in his mouth. So cute! He is also BEYOND cuddly! He often puts his front paws on your knees asking to be picked up and cuddled. He likes being carried around the house like a baby! :) He can get slightly intimidated by meeting large dogs outside the house, especially more than one, though he is still just a little puppy so just needs continued socialization opportunities to build up his braves. He currently does not go number 2 in the house and is almost there on number 1, so as long as somebody is home a fair amount in the near future, he should finish his toilet training promptly. Nutt is one awesome puppy, ready to give lots of love!

Puppy Vetting Requirements:  Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.

Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than June 17, 2024. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets.

Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!

TO ADOPT:   The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.
