Approximate Weight: 65 lbs as of 2/1/24; he is likely still growing
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested
Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get his freedom ride up here
Rocket is Looking For: An amazing life as a well-loved dog! Rocket may be on the bigger side at 70 lbs and not even a year old yet, but he's not long out of puppyhood and hasn't seen nearly enough of the world yet (and despite his name, none of space either). He's eager to get his own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures they can dream up. Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed are on his wish list as well. And - the dogs in the shelter have been showing him Instagram posts of 100+ lb mastiffs, St. Bernards, and Danes sprawling all over their humans' laps. He's been going hmmm, maybe that would be nice too, how about giving it a try?
Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved and under his roof for all his days. In exchange, he promises loyal companionship and adoring gazes and that you probably won't have to bend down to clip his leash to his collar. How about it - is he the one you want by your side? And maybe in your lap too?
